Les Medievales Grimaud 21Within the thousand-year-old walls of Grimaud Castle, come and cheer on the knights and their mounts at the ‘bal des cavaliers’ (knights’ ball), where artists and horsemen perform in an equestrian show combining jousting, minstrels and fire on horseback.
Three performances will take place at 6:00 p.m., 7:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Tickets are available at a flat rate of €4.99. Tickets are only available online from our ticket office.
As if suspended in time, the streets come alive with companies of troubadours, knights and their swords and a great atmosphere wherever you go. Medieval market, village of traditional crafts, music, falconry and fire shows, medieval climbing tower, axe throwing and lots more bring Grimaud’s alleyways to life.
Come evening, the alleys are like an old abandoned wooden chest that you open: so dive back into the past, where you can discover forgotten treasures with all their accompanying aromas to bring back memories.
Here, the air is redolent with the familiar smell of straw, animals and half-full tankards.
Let’s talk tankards! What would a medieval evening be without a feast worthy of the name? Tavern keepers and innkeepers are, of course, on hand to feed our faces. A great medieval banquet (from 7.30pm) and then a “snack” area are available on site for a well-deserved break.
