A little etymology: "La Galine" comes from the word "Volaille" (poultry); "Les Vernades" comes from "verne", meaning "alder". The alder is a tree that grows on the banks of rivers. The name "Embaude" comes from an old family name (1445) Baude.
Walk along and cross the small streams that feed the Garde and Giscle rivers. These two rivers, which often run dry in summer, created the Grimaud plain.
Moderate to fairly difficult walking, depending on the route.
