Provence is a land of traditions, and Grimaud is no exception! Every year in mid-August, Grimaud is in a festive mood!
The origins of this festival go back centuries. Initially a religious festival, based on the celebrations dedicated to the Virgin Mary on 15 August, it was also the village festival, marked in the Middle Ages by a large agricultural fair in the grounds of the Chapelle Notre Dame de la Queste. Farmers and merchants came from all over the Gulf to buy and sell a wide range of goods and livestock.
It was also a time for festivities, with music and dancing, which have remained deeply rooted in the hearts of the local people. That's why today, from the land to the sea, this village festival is perpetuated by celebrating tradition, whether religious with masses and processions, festive with balls, shows and fireworks, or culinary with the gourmet moment at La Queste.
On the programme:
SATURDAY 15 AUGUST:
09:00: Petanque for children (Place Vieille – admission fee applies)
10:00–12:00: 15 August celebrations
From 19:00: Food court with views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and its fireworks (Town Hall forecourt)
From 9.00 pm to 11.00 pm: Kba7 Live concert (Town Hall forecourt): rediscover the greatest classics of Anglo-Saxon pop and soul in original, elegant and decidedly lively renditions. From the timeless melodies of The Beatles, Sting and Coldplay to the warm rhythms of Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers and Ray Charles, the trio skilfully reinterprets songs that have left their mark on several generations.
Driven by their musical chemistry and their spirit of sharing, these three musicians offer an emotional musical journey, blending memories, good cheer and the urge to sing along. A festive interlude under the stars, in the heart of the village, to be enjoyed with family or friends.

6.30pm–7.15pm: Jude Todd Trio (Place de l’Église): Jude Todd is a Franco-British singer-songwriter with a sunny and elegant pop style. As a trio, he revisits his own compositions and classic tracks with infectious energy and a distinctly British touch. A charming moment in the heart of the craft market, where the rhythms and good vibes are not to be missed!
7.15–8.00 pm: Ethno Machine by Nomad Nomad: A fantastical, dreamlike contraption that blends the world of modern times and iron mines with the delicacy of lace and the retro-chic of Grandma’s lampshades. This beautiful machine turns heads and captures hearts as it pulses with rhythms and sounds from all over the world.
After a spell in the Nomad Nomad workshops, she has grown to gigantic proportions: all slender metallic curves, she has become ethereal and epic. Perched on her back, a drummer, a saxophonist and a didgeridoo player together invoke her soul, which has come to take shape from the bowels of the Earth and the far reaches of the Universe: an indomitable dancer who plays with frequencies, sounds, the elements, air, fire and the energy of the audience.
Day and night, she captivates, enchants and spreads wonder wherever she goes… A true multi-sensory journey is on offer to bring all generations together in joy and to remind us that we are connected!
Come aboard the Nomad Nomad adventure! We are looking for adult volunteers to take part in the show: to sign up (free of charge): [email protected]
