Link La Mole to Cogolin via the Chapelle Sainte-Magdeleine
This hike, starting from the village of La Mole, allows you to discover the landscapes and vegetation of the Maures massif.
First stop: the Verne dam. Built in 1991, the water reserve created by this dam supplies the population of the Golfe de Saint-Tropez with drinking water.
The path then takes you to the Sainte-Magdeleine chapel, set in a green setting on a rocky bastion at the summit. From up there, admire the landscape: the Môle and Verne valleys and the village of La Mole, surrounded by a ring of hills.
The hike continues as far as Cogolin.
To reach the heart of the village, a dense forest of cork oaks, arbutus, heather, holly, sarsaparilla and wild lavender accompanies you all the way.
Discover it from late September to mid-June. The month of May is ideal for admiring the blooms. In December, the appearance of arbutus flowers and fruit adds a charming touch of color.
Did you know? Interpretation desks are deployed on the intercommunal hiking trails.
