SYNOPSIS

December 1994. In the heart of the Ardèche Gorge, 3 speleologists make a major archaeological discovery: an immense decorated cave, one of the oldest in the world. Its walls are covered with a thousand drawings, engravings and paintings, now considered to be the first artistic masterpieces of mankind.

For 30 years, scientists - paleontologists, prehistorians, parietalists and geomorphologists - have been trying to unravel its mysteries.
