Grimaud’s beaches
Lazing in the sun on a towel
From Port Grimaud to Pointe Alègre, Grimaud boasts eight unique beaches, each one offering a breathtaking view of Saint-Tropez. Some are isolated coves, some long stretches of fine sand, but each one has its own character!
The waters often reach 26-27 degrees in the summer, tempting even those who really feel the cold. They are inspected regularly, and Grimaud has even been rewarded for the quality of its bathing waters.
Looking for some excitement or just a simple break on the Mediterranean coast? You can expect relaxation, swimming and water-based activities in Grimaud!

The coastal path
Hiking & backpack
Explore Grimaud’s coastline at an easy-going pace, on foot, along the coastal path, or by bike on the cycle path. With every step comes a spectacular sight, and the stunning scenery changes with the seasons. Along the way, elegant villas and ancient hotels bear witness to the town’s rich and fascinating history, from the first signs of tourism on the French Riviera. These buildings steeped in history with elegant architectural details, stand as reminders of when the region first began to attract travellers in search of sun and peace and quiet.
In the distance, on the other side of the gulf, Saint-Tropez shines in an array of colours that change depending on the day and the season. The Château de Grimaud stands guard proudly over the valley, much like a sentinel, keeping watch over the surroundings and adding a medieval touch to this Provençal scene.
Finally, a totally different view awaits in the lacustrian town of Port Grimaud, and the natural environment blends perfectly with modernity. The canals, pastel-coloured houses and lively little squares exude a unique charm, combining tradition and innovation, like a mirror reflecting the region’s easy-going lifestyle.

Get an introduction to fishing
Like a fish to water
Fishing is more than just an activity in Grimaud, it’s an invitation to be at one with nature, whether you choose to go fishing at sea or freshwater. Try your hand at deep-sea fishing or go on a guided fishing trip to see what you can catch along the Mediterranean coast. If you’d prefer to set up your fishing rods in the calm lakes or rivers of Var, there are plenty of places to choose from, whatever your level of experience, some of which are ‘no kill’ areas to respect the local wildlife.
And after all that effort, it’s time for a treat! If you didn’t manage to catch anything, head to the local markets or regional restaurants and order the catch of the day. Because in Grimaud, it’s just as important to celebrate the pleasure of tasting the catch as it is to go fishing.
