Grimaud to Port Grimaud trail

Make your way down to Port Grimaud from the village with this route that takes you off the beaten track.

Good to know

This path is used by vehicles, so always be vigilant on the paths and follow the yellow arrows to find your way. 6km trail (1h30).

The trail starts on a slope and is a dirt track at the beginning, so please bring suitable footwear. The route can be taken by mountain bike.

The trail is available all year round. The path at the start may be muddy after rainfall.

With the risk of fire, where can you go walking? In summer, don’t forget to consult the forest access map for safe walks.

Leaving from Grimaud

This 6km trail takes you as far as Port Grimaud, avoiding the busiest routes. As you approach Port Grimaud, you will however need to cross the main coastal road.
This route is ideal for those wishing to travel without a car to reach the medieval village or the lakeside town.

Grimaud village

You will encounter charming, typical village streets in Grimaud, in the Var department. Its buildings will transport you through different ages.

If you’d like to travel from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century, this route will lead you to Port Grimaud. You will pass the Saint-Michel meadow, between the vineyards and the river, where you may even encounter some donkeys.
 

Arrival in

Port Grimaud

After 6km, you’ll reach Port Grimaud, the little Venice of Provence.

There, you can admire the fishermen’s houses and the canals in an explosion of color. Treat yourself to an electric boat ride and an ice cream.
