  • The pairing of Yvan Attal and Noémie Lvovsky works wonders in this gritty comedy directed by Jean-Louis Benoît. The only setting is a banal kitchen... and a hidden camera!

A captivating mise en abîme of an uneventful life, turned upside down by the irruption of this intrusive gaze that suddenly shatters it.

True to the tragic humour of his writing, Sébastien Thiéry (Momo, Deux hommes tout nus, Cochons d'Inde Molière 2009 for Best Comedy Play) plunges Justine and Jean-Marc into the daily routine of their kitchen, astonished to receive strange emails and compromising images.

Trapped and stunned, they panic and wonder: whose webcam is this? Who's watching them? Why are they being watched? And since when? By whom? The lies they tell each other pile up, and the pettiness and betrayal resurface in biting, vivid dialogue between two people worn down by twenty-five years of married life. The couple's precarious equilibrium is shaky...

Borrowing the tone of a comedy, the play takes an uncompromising but tender look at relationships and the need to tell each other - or not - the whole truth.

It's effective and funny, as always with Sébastien Thiéry, who loves to combine theatre of the absurd and boulevard theatre.
