Sur l'eau is a travelogue written by Guy de Maupassant in 1888. Maupassant recounts a cruise he took on his private yacht "Bel-Ami" along the Côte d'Azur. He passed through Cannes, Agay, Saint-Raphaël and, in particular, Saint-Tropez.

The author discovers an almost untouched Côte d'Azur, not yet a meeting place for crowned heads. Maupassant alternates the account of his cruise with excursions ashore (notably to the Chartreuse de la Verne) and long digressions on the society of his time.

Sylvie Rémond and her partners bring us this story by narrating extracts from the text, with musical accompaniment. A beautiful poetic moment that reflects the colors of this beautiful Côte d'Azur countryside.
