  • Les sous-marins de la liberté (Freedom submarines) are those who escaped when the Toulon fleet was scuttled in November 1942. These sailors continued the fight against the German invaders and organized an exfiltration network from the Ramatuelle coast.
    Jean-Charles Meyer will recount these stories, sometimes anecdotal, using previously unpublished images to support the lecture, which highlight the work of local Resistance fighters who have now all disappeared.
