Almost the whole world knows the fabulous destiny of Charles Aznavour, the "little singer" nurtured by Edith Piaf, for whom he was secretary, chauffeur and confidant, before finally achieving success in the early 60s.
-
Photography was one of his passions, and this exhibition curated by his son Mischa shows him equally at ease photographing the stars of his day and children in street scenes.

Why a "Charles Aznavour, photographe" exhibition in Saint-Tropez?
Mischa's answer:
"Saint-Tropez and my father are a love story that began long before the village became fashionable. It was on the deserted beaches of Pampelonne that he first saw the sea as a child.
In the '50s, he started coming to Saint-Tropez every summer.
He vacationed here for several decades, making friends among the locals and joining his artist friends, with whom he helped build the village's legend.
It was also in Saint-Tropez that he met my mother, the woman of his life, in 1963.
