Ciné-débat: I lost my body - Main en quête d'identité

Cultural, Conference, Movie screening, Cinema in Sainte-Maxime

  • Screening of the film "J'ai perdu mon corps" at Le Pagnol cinema followed by a debate moderated by a librarian.

Highlighting the impact of a director whose singular universe has marked the world of animation film, is the common goal of the Jehanne Arnaud Media Library and Le Pagnol cinema on this world day dedicated to animation cinema.

Adapted from the masterful hand of the eponymous novel written by Guillaume Laurent, Jeremy Clapin gives life to a very singular heroine: a hand cut in front of his destiny and ready to do anything to find his owner…

Awarded with the Grand Prix de la semaine de la critique in Cannes, the Cristal for feature film at the Annecy Animation Film Festival in 2019 and two Césars (best animated film and best original music) in 2020, I lost my body is an animation gem not to be missed!!!

    THE FILM:
In Paris, the severed hand of a young man escapes from a dissection room, determined to find his body. During her strenuous run through the city, she recalls her whole life together with him, until she meets Gabrielle.

    THE DEBATE:
Four-handed writing: "I lost my body" between literature and animation. The debate is moderated by a librarian from the Jehanne Arnaud Media Library.
